I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. I received a Bachelors of Arts from Pitzer College (Claremont, CA), where I double majored in Anthropology and Fine Art. I did my graduate work at Phillips Graduate Institute (Encino, CA). I received a Master in Psychology specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy. I have been an Art Therapist in various settings, which include inpatient psychiatric, oncology, eating disorder inpatient and PHP, College Counseling Center, and outpatient private practice. I have provided individual, family, couples, and group therapy for the past 20 years.
I have been a clinical member of The American Art Therapy Association for the past 20 years. I am also a clinical member of the local chapter North Carolina Art Therapists Association. As well as a clinical member of the North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors.
